    Trauma isn't what happens to you, it's what happens inside of you.

Strategies to support children following experiences of trauma will be presented, giving attendees concrete ways in which they can support the children in their lives and care for themselves.

    This course aims to offer practical information to caregivers and professionals on why certain behaviours may be present, and how they can support their children in moving towards growth and healing.

    Tammy Schamuhn is a Registered Psychologist, Registered Play Therapist Supervisor, Co- Founder of the Institute of Child Psychology, best-selling author of the The Parenting Handbook co-host of the Child Psych Podcast, an adjunct faculty member at City University, and most importantly a mom of 3.

    Tammy is an internationally acclaimed speaker, and present global workshops on a variety of topics such as: childhood anxiety, trauma, depression, resiliency, and emotion regulation.

    As a child who struggled with severe anxiety, Tammy is passionate about this topic and helping both children and families work through the overwhelm and move towards resiliency & healing.

    Tammy  maintains private practices in Alberta, Canada, where she lives and is raising her family.
