LESSON 3

Art in the Play Therapy Room

Art Therapy: Lesson 3 – DOWNLOAD HANDOUT

This final lesson explores developmental stages in art making – including drawing and clay. The Expressive Therapies Continuum (ETC) is introduced, which provides clinicians with insight into ways in which to support a client’s level of creative functioning, material choice and interaction with art-based mediums in a session. Participants will gain insight into which materials to offer a client which are appropriate for their developmental needs, and assess their cognitive functioning.
