The Institute of Child Psychology is honoured to have Kim Payne join us to present on parenting and emotional self regulation. In this workshop explore…

  •  How to shift taking it personally.
  • No more nagging.
  • Feeling the freedom to be direct and intense rather than frustrated and angry.
  • Breaking out of old unwanted emotionally triggered pattern.
  • Attuning to the early warning signs of escalation
  • Using what was great about our own childhood and tossing out the rest.
  • Sorting out what is the “Magnetic North” of mass popular culture VS. “True North” of your family values

At the heart of this workshop is learning Compassionate Response.  This is a tried and proven practice that directly works to break us out of old unwanted patterns of escalating action – reaction patterns with your children, tweens and teens and frees us to find our own parenting voice right in the moment when we need it most.
