In this course we will cover the benefits of happiness and the protective factors related to developing happiness habits that extend across all developmental stages of life. You will learn how to integrate the negatives and the positives of life circumstances and shift your perspective and mood state based on a variety of recommendations from experts who study happiness, and thriving individuals.

This evidence based course is taught by Dariel Cole MC Registered Psychologist who specializes in health psychology, clinical and educational psychology. Dariel has specifically worked with medical procedural anxiety in children and has worked with a variety of ages for the past 10+ years.

Instructor Information

Dariel Cole

Dariel Cole, M.C., Registered Psychologist. Dariel obtained her undergraduate degree with a major in Psychology from the University of Alberta in 2008, a year of cooperative work experience was added to her degree so that she could have practical time working with children as a Behavior Interventionist. The opportunity to volunteer and work with the Zebra Child Protection Centre helped her gain a wealth of experience in child advocacy and court preparation, while providing support to children and families. She completed her Masters of Counselling with City University of Seattle in 2012. During Dariel's Master’s level practicum she had the opportunity to work in the Stollery Children’s hospital in Pediatric Oncology providing therapeutic supports and assisting with neuropsychological assessments. Following her graduation and practicum, she helped to co-develop a program supported in the Not For Profit Sector assisting children and families with pediatric cancer with reintegrating into the community.
