TIME: 1:00pm-4:30pm MST
INSTRUCTOR: Tania Johnson, R.Psych., RPT

In this workshop attendees will learn to integrate family therapy and parent-lead activities into the play therapy room. These directives are designed to resolve presenting problems while strengthening family relationships.

OBJECTIVES:

  • Assist parents in generalizing the use of the play skills to everyday life situations
  • Learn how to discuss themes of the play sessions with parents to further their understanding of the child and the relationship
  • Help parents understand the value and importance play and their involvement in their children’s treatment
  • Help caregivers set up parent-child play sessions, and give constructive feedback to improve their skills

VENUE:
Online via Zoom; sessions will be recorded and available for 60 days after airing. Participants must attend the live airing for contact credit hours; non-contact training hours will be awarded if viewed after live airing.
