Intro to Play Therapy- LIVE December 2026

Original price was: CAD $399.99.Current price is: CAD $299.99.

For children, play serves the same purpose that conversation does for adults. Through play, children share feelings, work through relationships, make sense of their experiences, express wishes, and move toward a sense of growth and mastery. It is how they communicate their inner world.

Toys and symbolic play give children a safe way to place big emotions such as fear, anxiety, guilt, and confusion outside of themselves and onto objects. This creates emotional space, allowing children to approach difficult or overwhelming experiences at a distance. In this way, play offers both expression and protection, supporting children as they process their feelings and experiences safely.

This training blends heart, science, and skill-building, giving you the confidence to meet children where they are and support healing through play.

Why Play Therapy?

Play is the child’s natural language. When children cannot fully express themselves with words, they communicate through play.

Play therapy provides a developmentally appropriate, evidence-based way to help children:

  • Express difficult emotions safely

  • Process anxiety, fear, grief, and trauma

  • Improve emotional regulation and behaviour

  • Strengthen problem-solving and social skills

  • Build healthier relationships

Through toys, symbolic play, and creative expression, children can explore experiences at a safe emotional distance, allowing healing and growth without becoming overwhelmed.
