Education and Content Manager
Robyn Van Veen has dedicated over 15 years to coaching gymnastics, fostering a love for sport and physical activity in young children through positive and engaging experiences.
This background sparked an interest in motivation and mindset development in childhood and inspired her to pursue a degree in Child Studies from Mount Royal University. Through her work, she has consistently aimed to create environments where children can thrive physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Building on her education and experience, Robyn played a pivotal role in the creation of a physical literacy-focused preschool program, which was recognized with the Alberta Minister’s Award of Excellence in Child Development in 2022.
Above all, Robyn finds her greatest fulfillment in parenting her two daughters and cherishing time with her family. She deeply values her role at the Institute of Child Psychology, where she is continually expanding her knowledge of child development and mental health.
Passionate about making a meaningful impact, she contributes to the Institute of Child Psychology’s membership community and supports the growth of its blog and podcast, ensuring that valuable resources reach families and professionals alike.
