Chazz Lewis’s mission in life is to enjoy the process of becoming the best version of himself and help others do the same. He goes by “Mr.Chazz” to his massive online following, and to his many students and fellow teachers, leaders, and human beings. Having stepped into the classroom in the early days, largely because he needed a job, he discovered a passion for inspiring and understanding and igniting curiosity and possibility in kids. And, he realized, he’d have to buck a lot of systems and do a metric ton of his own learning and reimagining to make it happen.
Along the way, he completed a master’s degree in executive leadership at American University and spent years using his own classrooms as living laboratories, developing a more conscious, informed, joyful and dignity-driven and inspired approach to learning, leading, and elevating others. His philosophy began to find relevance far beyond the classroom and has found a home everywhere from parenting to education, personal development, and organizational leadership. And he shares his ideas in a fun, playful, and accessible way, training thousands of teachers, and with his giant following on Tiktok and Instagram.
He is in the process of writing a book, and he goes deeper on his podcast, “Mr. Chazz’s Leadership, Parenting and Teaching Podcast”.

Session Description:
Each generation claims that parenting is the hardest it has ever been. I believe it is most true today. Our children and teens have more of the world at their fingertips than ever before. Yet, most parents will admit to feeling isolated and unsure of the
degree to which virtual friendships, gaming groups, or the desire for technology-laden diversions are undermining their child’s desire for closer connection to the family unit. In my clinical practice, I encounter an increasing number of well-meaning parents who struggle with walking the balance of setting appropriate screen-time limits AND helping their child(ren) develop into great citizens in the real world and online.
My experiences as a parent, social media content creator on multiple platforms (including TikTok which hosts my most popular video to date at around 4 million views), and psychiatrist offer me a unique view into the ways in which social media holds the attention of our children. By helping you to better understand this, we can empower parents to feel more confident in setting limits and help parents to use those insights to regain the attention of their child.
This talk will equip you with a better understanding of the current research for gaming and internet-use disorders. We will review trends in social media consumption for children/adolescents and its profound effects within the family system. Finally, we will reflect on the attachment parenting lens to bring together practical tips and insights for helping families to find a balance and ultimately, come closer to the family life they desire to have.
Learning Objectives:
1. Understand how families are using social media and gaming
2. Understand Internet Gaming Disorder
3. Better differentiate between Dysfunctional Gaming/Internet Use and Obsessive Compulsive-like behaviors
4. Understand how social media interact with family systems
5. Gain practical ideas for conversation and guiding parents using attachment theory

After sitting with the question “If money didn’t matter, what would I be doing?” the answer revealed itself to her in a tiny whisper “Become a Naturopathic Doctor and help people heal from anxiety, depression , anorexia, bulimia, bipolar disorder (types 1 or 2), addiction, ADD/ADHD, etc using natural therapies and orthomolecular medicine – as you have been helped“.

I work with individuals and families 3 years old and up. My role is to assist your family through your current struggles by offering support, insight, and consultation. I have considerable experience working with children, youth and their families in areas of anxiety, depression, ADHD, anger, self-harm, disordered eating, separation/divorce, attachment, adoption, complex trauma (physical abuse, sexual abuse, neglect), and singular traumatic events (car accidents, assault). Aynsley Graham, M.A
I have been working with children with behaviour challenges since I graduated from University in 2009. I hold two degrees, a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a Graduate degree in Human Ecology, specializing in Family Ecology and Practice. In the last 3 years, I have ventured out to work in a variety of settings to learn how to collaborate with other professions, like Occupational Therapists and Speech Therapists, to better meet the needs of children and their families.
I am a passionate believer in community. As a mother, I foster relationships that make my family as healthy and resilient as we can be; my family, my friends, professionals, I am honest and proud of the help that I receive. This support allows me to continue to enjoy the activities that make me me, and not just mom. My wife and I greatly enjoy live music and theatre and need regular dates on Whyte Avenue to feel like humans. I kickbox and am trying to get into Yoga. I am an avid camper. I am such an avid camper; my wife and I took our son camping in May when he was 6 months old because we were insistent that our life wouldn’t change just because we had a baby. Obviously, that was a terrible decision and it was the worst trip ever. We have since figured out how to camp with a kid
As a Behaviour Consultant, I can help you build a support network a that helps you be the best parent you can be. We are stronger when we are not alone.

Christine Crocker
As a Registered Psychologist trained in Marriage and Family Therapy, I believe that relationships are central to the health and well-being of individuals, families and communities. An individual always functions and grows within a “system”, whether as a member of a couple, family or group. Individual goals and visions are best understood and pursued within this broad framework. In counselling, each person is encouraged to understand their unique situation and reach for attainable goals. Together, client and therapist work toward making changes needed for a better life.
I have been providing services to families, couples and individuals since 2007, both in private practice and for agencies. I have a Masters in Science in Marital and Family Therapy through Loma Linda University and a Bachelor of Science Specialization awarded from the University of Alberta.
Dr. Michaleen Doucleff
Michaeleen Doucleff, PhD, is an award-winning journalist, bestselling author, and a prominent voice on the evolution of parenting and child psychology. A correspondent for NPR’s Science Desk, she reports for the radio and the Web in addition to NPR’s global health and development blog, Goats and Soda. Doucleff focuses on disease outbreaks, cross-cultural parenting, and children’s health. In 2014, she was part of the team that earned a George Foster Peabody award for its coverage of the Ebola outbreak in West Africa. As a science journalist, Doucleff has reported on a broad range of topics, from vaccine hesitancies to how to teach kids to do chores voluntarily. Prior to joining NPR, Doucleff was an editor at the journal Cell, where she wrote about the science behind pop culture.
Her book Hunt, Gather, Parent: What Ancient Cultures Can Teach Us About the Lost Art of Raising Happy, Helpful Little Humans explores parenting strategies from families in three of the world’s most venerable communities: Maya families in Mexico, Inuit families above the Arctic Circle, and Hadzabe families in Tanzania. The New York Times, Publishers Weekly, and USA Today bestseller introduces a highly appealing idea for a world where frantic over-parenting has become the norm, proposing that our ancestors may hold the answers to how to master parenting where our modern theories have failed. Curious to learn about more effective parenting approaches, Doucleff lived with families and observed their techniques firsthand, applying them to her own daughter with striking results. She talks to psychologists, neuroscientists, anthropologists, and sociologists and explains how these strategies can impact children’s mental health and development.
Doucleff taps into a growing sense of dissatisfaction with contemporary parenting theories, which often conflict and leave parents feeling overwhelmed and unequipped to meet their children’s behavioral and emotional challenges. Filled with practical takeaways that parents can implement immediately, Hunt, Gather, Parent helps us rethink the ways we relate to our children, and reveals a universal parenting paradigm adapted for American families. In her keynotes and presentations, Doucleff discusses how Western parenting often has it backwards. We interfere too much. We don’t have enough confidence in our children. We don’t trust their innate ability to know what they need to grow. And in many instances, we don’t speak their language. By widening the parenting lens, Doucleff helps parents to understand vitally different ways of relating to children, disciplining, and having fun together. In addition, she examines global health, diseases, vaccines, and more. She has a bachelor’s degree in biology from Caltech, a doctorate in chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, and a master’s degree in viticulture and enology from the University of California, Davis. She lives with her husband, daughter and their German shepherd, Savanna, in San Francisco.

Dr. Madiha Saeed
Born and raised in Illinois, Dr. Saeed completed her residency in South Bend, Indiana, after which, she joined an integrative medical practice. There, she witnessed firsthand the struggles each patient encountered, and their frustration in not knowing where to begin.
With a team, which included a nutritionist, psychotherapist, exercise physiologist, chiropractor, acupuncturist and other physicians, Dr. Saeed was determined to get to the root cause of disease for each patient.
Not only did she have the joy of witnessing hundreds of success stories thanks to a holistic approach, she experienced firsthand the power of healing as she lost 50 pounds and beat hypothyroidism, eczema, sebhorrheic dermatitis, acne, fatigue, alopecia, joint pain, weight and digestive issues, all while balancing a growing family and work!
In 2015, Dr. Saeed moved to her hometown and established her own practice. When she wasn’t with patients, Dr. Saeed was researching, pulling together the puzzle pieces of true holistic health care. If she, as a physician, was confused, how could those suffering all over the world find healing?
After four years of study, Dr. Saeed took matters into my own hands and wrote The Holistic Rx: Your Guide to Healing Chronic Inflammation and Disease. It became a #1 best seller in multiple categories on Amazon, interpreting the best of holistic, functional and integrative medicine in ONE source for over 70 conditions across the lifespan.
