Kim John Payne, M.Ed

Kim John Payne has worked for 24 years as a counsellor, adult educator, consultant/researcher and educator helping children, adolescents and families explore issues such as social difficulties with siblings and classmates, attention and behavioural issues at home and school, emotional issues such as defiance, aggression, addiction and self-esteem.

Dr. BJ Fogg

Is an American social scientist and author who is a research associate and adjunct professor[ at Stanford University. He is the founder and director of the Stanford Behavior Design Lab. He is also the author of the ground-breaking book ‘Tiny Habits: Small Habits That Change Everything’

Dr. Tina Payne Bryson

Dr. Tina Payne Bryson (she/her) is the author of BOTTOM LINE FOR BABY (Random House Bantam 2020) and co-author (with Dan Siegel) of THE YES BRAIN (Random House Bantam 2018) and THE POWER OF SHOWING UP (Random House Bantam 2020), as well as two New York Times bestsellers: THE WHOLE-BRAIN CHILD (Random House Delacorte 2011) and NO-DRAMA DISCIPLINE (Random House Bantam 2014), each of which has been translated into over fifty languages. 

Dr. Bryson is also the Founder and Executive Director of The Center for Connection, a  multidisciplinary  clinical practice, and of The Play Strong Institute, a center  devoted to the study, research, and practice of play therapy through a neurodevelopmental lens. She keynotes conferences and conducts workshops for parents, educators, and clinicians all over the world.  

Tammy Schamuhn,
R. Psych

Tammy is a Registered Psychologist, Registered Play Therapist Supervisor, and Co-Founder of the Institute of Child Psychology. Tammy also has a Bachelors of Education from the University of Alberta and practiced as an elementary teacher before going on to complete her Masters degree in Psychology.  Tammy specializes in working with trauma & anxiety in children and teens. Tammy and her business partner, Tania Johnson are also authors, and have a book being released in spring 2024 called the “Parenting Playbook.”

Jennie Abbot

Jennie Abbot is the Founder and Director of Harmony Kids Yoga & Mindfulness Company, the creator of YogaBREAK for Classrooms, Harmony at Home Kits, various Parenting and Educator Workshops and The My Peaceful Play Game for Kids. She is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) and Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher (CYA-CYT) with the Canadian Yoga Alliance teaching over 10,000 children to date.

Jennie is the co-creator of the Harmony 95 Hour Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher Training Program through the International Yoga Alliance. Jennie’s offers Workshops for Parents and Educators in partnership with the Institute of Child Psychology. Jennie is also a Color Me Yoga Children’s Yoga Teacher Graduate, Rainbow Kids Yoga Certified Instructor, with Specialties in Yoga for the Special Needs, Safe Anatomy for Children and Trauma Informed Yoga for Children and Youth through Yoga Ed.

Dr. Peter Levine

Peter A. Levine, PhD, has spent 45 years studying and treating stress and trauma.

He holds a doctorate degree in medical biophysics from the University of California at Berkeley and in psychology from International University.

He is the developer of Somatic Experiencing®, a naturalistic approach to healing trauma. He has practiced and taught at treatment centers, hospitals, and pain clinics throughout the world, and has dealt with a wide range of trauma, including accidents, rapes, assaults, abuse, and invasive medical procedures.

Peter was a stress consultant for NASA during the development of the Space Shuttle program. He served with the Institute for World Affairs Task Force for "Psychologists for Social Responsibility" and the American Psychological Association "Presidential Initiative on Responding to Large-Scale Disasters and Ethno-Centric Warfare."

Dr. Lawrence Cohen

Lawrence J. Cohen, Ph.D., the author of PLAYFUL PARENTING and THE OPPOSITE OF WORRY, is a licensed psychologist specializing in children's play and play therapy. In addition to his private therapy practice, he is also a speaker and consultant to public and independent schools, and a teacher of parenting classes and classes for daycare teachers. Dr. Cohen is also the co-author, with Anthony DeBenedet, of The Art of Roughhousing. He wrote two books about children's friendships and peer relationships with Michael Thompson and Catherine O'Neill Grace: Best Friends, Worst Enemies, and Mom, They're Teasing Me.
His books have been translated into fourteen languages. Larry's column in Nick Jr. Magazine was the winner of the 2003 Golden Lamp award from Education Press.

Dr. Cohen is the author of numerous published articles in professional journals and popular magazines, and he has presented his work at professional conferences, workshops, classes, and public appearances.

Eli Harwood, LPC

ELI HARWOOD is a licensed therapist who lives in Colorado with her husband, Trevor, and their three children. Eli has been nerding out on attachment research for the past two decades and is on a mission to help make the world a better place, one relationship at a time. She continues this mission in her clinical work, her writing, and running her mouth about attachment on social media.

Mell Hashey, MSW

Joe and Mell Hashey have been married for 16 years and have three boys. Joe was a teacher and coach turned entrepreneur in the fitness industry, and Mell is a social worker turned stay-at-home mom. They’ve used their experience to build the Strong Family Co. framework that any family can use to establish values and stress-free family leadership

Dr. Mercedes Samudio, LCSW

Dr. Mercedes Samudio, DSW, LCSW (she/her/hers; residing on Tongva Land) is a licensed clinical social worker, bestselling author, international speaker, visionary entrepreneur, and innovative African American mental health researcher. She works with parents worldwide to develop a healthy parental identity with her revolutionary Parental Identity Development (PID) Model©. She incorporates her Shame-Proof Parenting™ philosophy to help reduce the shame parents experience as they raise healthy children. Mercedes is also trained in trauma-informed modalities, which she uses in her work with parents to help them heal the past traumas that can influence the ways parents interact with themselves and their children. Dr. Madiha Saaed

Dr. Saeed, a Holistic, Functional and Integrative Medicine Physician is known as “The Holistic Mom”. She uncovers how our children’s brains, bodies, and behaviours are being hijacked and presents real-life, actionable steps parents can take to help their children make better decisions, build resilience, and heal.

Stephanie Weldy, M.Ed

Stephanie has a Master's in Education in Community Health from the University of Louisville Stephanie.  After spending a decade in public sector work, she manages operations and partnerships for BJ Fogg. Passionate about connecting people to resources that better and enhance their lives, Stephanie has lead comprehensive wellbeing programs in higher education, non-profit, and public sector settings.

Leslie Priscilla

Leslie Priscilla is a first generation non-Black Chicana mother to three bicultural children. She is a descendant of Indigenous Tarahumara Rarámuri and Spanish lineages who has resided on occupied Tongva and Acjachemen land, also known as Orange County, CA, all of her life.

Leslie shares her medicine by offering coaching, workshops, support and advocacy for Latinx/Chicanx families locally, nationally, and internationally both in-person and online via the Latinx Parenting organization. 

Dr. Vanessa Lapointe

Dr. Vanessa Lapointe is the author of the bestselling Discipline Without Damage and Parenting Right From the Start. A registered psychologist, she is also the founder of The Wishing Star Lapointe Developmental Clinic. She has supported families and children for more than fifteen years and is a sought-after lecturer. She lives in Vancouver, Canada, with her two sons.

Tania Johnson, R. Psych

Tania is a Registered Psychologist and the Co-Founder of the Institute of Child Psychology.  She completed her undergraduate studies in South-Africa and obtained her Masters degree in Canada from City University of Seattle. Tania also works in private practice in Canada with children and teens; and is an author, with a book being releases in spring 2024  (co-authored by Tammy Schamuhn) titled “The Parenting Playbook.”

Jenny Al-Adra, M.C

Jenny is a Registered Clinical Counselor specializing in adoptive and foster care. Jenny has worked children, youth, and adults for the last 25 years in various roles as youth leader, mentor, teacher, and mental health professional.

Outside of counseling work she has five foster and adoptive children, which lead to her clinical interest in mentoring parents of adoptive and foster children.

Lindsay Sealey, B.A., M.A. Ed.

Lindsay Sealey, B.A., M.A. Ed., is a dedicated educator,
a passionate keynote speaker, an empowering
consultant, and the author of Growing Strong Girls and
Rooted, Resilient, and Ready, and Made for More.

She holds a B.A. from Simon Fraser University in Burnaby and an M.A. in Educational Leadership from San Diego State
University.

She is currently pursuing her Ph. D in mind-body medicine.
